Après une saison pleine en réserve la saison passée (2017-2018), Zak’ intègre le groupe N2 sous la houlette de Lionel Bah et devient l’une des pièces maitresses de l’équipe et portera même le brassard de capitaine lors de 5 rencontres.
24 matchs de National 2 plus tard, Zak’ signe son premier contrat professionnel chez les Merlus à 24 ans. Il débutera la saison dans un premier temps avec l’équipe réserve du FCL évoluant elle aussi en N2.
